The actual workouts though are INTENSE...heavy loads and full focus no BS.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My diet&lt;/strong&gt;- Back to the basics, metabolic profiled as a Protein type so lots of it and really clean organic greens, healthy fats and even working my way off the COFFEE!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My study&lt;/strong&gt;-Almost finished w second Yoga teacher training, getting geared up for metabolic typing certification and looking into EFT certification and finally Paul Check HLC Level 2! Love the material I am exploring and plan to invest some more time into teaching how to Eat, Move and BE healthy!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My Body&lt;/strong&gt;- I love it! It never fails me! Working on decreasing the stress hormones to create an everlasting change! I am STRONGER than ever and can finally get into the yoga poses I have been admiring for so long!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My Mind&lt;/strong&gt;- again...I love it! It just keeps growing, expanding and opening. I have been using meditation, EFT and study from the American Monk lectures to CHANGE my MIND!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My LIFE&lt;/strong&gt;- is great! BUT I was so damn determined to figure out how to overcome my FEAR. So, I got a 45lb plate and stood on it and UP! jumped onto the stupid box, then down to a thinner plate and again UP onto the box and then an even thinner plate...finally it was seeming more of a mental block I could dismiss...and so, finally I just went for it...stood in front of the box and up and away...UP...BAM! But I'm back again...here to share my new journey.&lt;br /&gt;Today I decided to give the Kaufman Diet ( anti-fungal diet) another go round. Here is the process...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;FUNGUS&lt;/strong&gt;: A simple plant that lacks chlorophyl.  Fungi include yeasts, rust, molds, and mushrooms.  They live as either saprophytes or parasites of plants and animals (man).  Some species infect and cause disease in man. - The Bantam Medical Dictionary.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;#1 Starve The Fungi&lt;br /&gt;#2 Move Your Bowels&lt;br /&gt;#3 Repair the Damage&lt;br /&gt;#4 Kill the Fungus&lt;br /&gt;#5 Replace the Good Bacteria&lt;br /&gt;Exercise!&lt;br /&gt;Herxheimer Reaction&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;#1 Starve The Fungi &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Starve the fungi with Doug Kaufmann's Phase One Diet (Initial Phase). &lt;br /&gt;Sugar fuels the growth pattern for fungi.  The Phase One diet is a low carbohydrate diet that dramatically cuts back on sugar that feeds fungi.  Although carbohydrates are known to be fuel for the body, this is true only in a non-toxic individual.  In a fungally-toxic individual it actually supresses energy.&lt;br /&gt;The Phase One diet is also very low in mold/fungi infected foods and high in foods, such as vegetables which are known to carry out mycotoxins and inhibit their toxicity.&lt;br /&gt;The Phase One diet is found in its entirety in any of &lt;a href="http://www.truerenewal.com/Doug_Kaufmann_Books_s/83.htm"&gt;Doug Kaufmann's books&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;#2 Move Your Bowels&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As fungi is killed inside your body, it is imperative that you move it out, and quickly.  Doug Kaufmann recommends &lt;a href="http://www.truerenewal.com/Psyllium_p/ban-php.htm"&gt;psyllium hulls &lt;/a&gt;or slippery elm as a good source of fiber to carry out colon waste.  Both are excellent choices. Shakti is also called Devi or mahadevi, assuming different roles as the Goddesses Sati, Parvati, Durga and Kali. Switched it up at Yoga One, Had to give up the Wed evening Level 2/3 so I could be home in the evening more with my son so I picked up the Mon. noon all levels...it is definetly a change of pace in class but I enjoy teaching ALL LEVELS very much, so much growth everyday!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then there is the many fun filled days at the dog park with my new Italian Mastiff, Zeda. She is so grateful of her new home and we are so glad to have her as well. It directly impairs liver function thus severely hampering your metabolism of fat. If fat loss is your main goal moderation is a key.&lt;br /&gt;Think about how much you consume and the caloric value of each drink. Alcohol contains 7 calories per gram. This is almost twice that of carbohydrates and protein and just under the 9 grams per calorie for fat. Here is an example: consuming 2-3 drinks a day can add up to over 400 calories extra each and every day. Multiply that by one week and you are over 2700 calories extra. That is over a half a pound.&lt;br /&gt;Consuming alcohol again stops all fat burning, adds extra calories, increases estrogen level (stubborn fat), increases appetite and makes you more easily persuaded to eat that entire desert plate.&lt;br /&gt;There are some simple guidelines you can follow that will not only help you stay on the fat burning path, but will encourage better overall health.&lt;br /&gt;Drinking red wine is much better for you then drinking beer.&lt;br /&gt;Try to stay away from extra sweet drinks with added sugars. This will keep your blood sugar from a massive spike while having a drink. Have you ever wondered why are these drinks are so popular?Follow the European model; eat some fat or protein with your drink. The more food you have in your belly the slower the absorption. It also aids in insulin regulation. Avoid high carbohydrates snack with alcohol. It carries many metabolic problems like insulin elevation and high fat levels in your blood stream.&lt;br /&gt;According to nutrition writer Ori Hofmelker below is a list of good to bad:&lt;br /&gt;1. When will you decide to take ACTION? When it's too late?&lt;br /&gt;I don't get it. I mean, my life has NOT been a cakewalk by any means. BUT, I REFUSE to sit on my ASS and watch it just GO BY!&lt;br /&gt;If you want something, you have to go out and GET IT. I was a bit nervous because I did not know anyone or what to expect. On the shuttle ride to the hotel I met Roy who I ended up sharing a room with at the Hilton...thanks man! if I hadnt met him I would have had to stay out at the Exel and missed out on a lot of the events with everyone.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;So, the snatch test was a breeze and group training was awsome. My training partner for the weekend was Jason Wood on &lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;TEAM&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O'CONNER.&lt;/span&gt; I could not have asked for a better partner, he was motivating, strong and funny! We pushed each other to the max everytime! he showed me how to flip the bells and man was he quuick with the swings. That is the price I pay for holding all of my classes outdoors. The day my studio doors open will be a joyous one! So, anyway, class will be held tomorrow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Marcel (my son) still has a football game today and we will be volunteering at the Octoberfest ( weather permitting) All in all still a fabulous day!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5 days till I leave for the RKC in MN, still no roommate or room! Guess I can use this hour of no class to look for a hotel room!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No workout today, Rest Day. So Wednesday my friend Roger and I met up at Morley Field and ran through an &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;awesome&lt;/span&gt; circuit, here's what we did:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Stations for 1 min each/ 10- 15 sec between stations/ 1 min rest after entire round/repeat x4&lt;br /&gt;We chose a different sequence each set, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;mixin&lt;/span&gt;' it up as much as possible...it was a killer but   FUN!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;1/4 filled Keg Press (30 secs)/ shouldering (30 secs)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Single Leg &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;DL&lt;/span&gt; (30 secs each leg)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Renegade Row w/16 kg (30 secs)/ KB &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;Tri&lt;/span&gt; Push Ups (30 secs)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Medicine Ball slams&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Swings w/ 20kg&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Thai Rope/ Jump rope&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;A few wood chops and power roundhouse kicks on the shield to tie it all together in the end&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;     *Made sure each side was always even in repetitions for all exercises&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Thursday was rest day, I taught my new class time at Ginseng Yoga studio in the big room. It's makes so much more sense for my class to be in that room w the hard wood floors and great space for all the creative flows I like to work with as well as inversions and arm balances. It was a great turnout and the dark night sky due to the time change gave the class a very soothing vibe with the dim lights and tribal tunes.&lt;br /&gt;Now all I need to do is get back into my own practice on a regular basis. YOGA is AMAZING, it truly HEALS on many levels, especially the HEART.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today was KB Swing/ Snatch and Kickboxing workout in the park w Roger and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;OMG&lt;/span&gt;, it's been a long time. I was tested yesterday at Revolution Fitness Center and beat the previous record of 301, &lt;span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"&gt;I performed 319 snatches in ten mins...!!!! And I am proud to say I also hold the record for the women's TSC (16 kg) of 139 snatches in 5 mins.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I agreed to be tested, I thought...OMG! 300snatches in 10 mins, thats gotta be the hardest thing ever, BUT I must say it was more about focus and determination to get it done then anything else! I refused to stop and never put the bell down, I wanted to achieve my greatest. And what an amazing feeling to have completed and SET THE NEW RECORD!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My friend Roger said if I didn't get at least 310 he would kick my a**, HA! he's in trouble now! I improved my PR! At the TSC I had a total of 139 in 5 mins, yesterday I had 142 in 5 mins!!! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Next time I will be tested by Yoana for 10 mins with the 12 kg, even though its lighter, I know TEN MINS is a looong time. Boot Camp had to be cancelled due to the wetness, don't want anyone getting injured. Too bad, it could actually be really fun in the rain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;What a better day than this one to create my first blog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The last few months have been busy. I trained for 2 months for the TSC (brutal!- won 1st in snatches!), suffered an injury to my shoulder (still healing), tried to surf for the first time (brrrrr...it was already COLD but FUN!-thanks Rhonda) , started web site process (thanks ROG!), Started a &lt;em&gt;Law of Attraction&lt;/em&gt; discussion group, discovered my son's independence (6Th grade, student council, working at the fair, hip hop dance classes, football, likes girls....ahhhhhh!, they grow up sooooo fast!) and sooooo much more! I have also been studying a great deal about holistic nutrition and lifestyle. Going to RKC in Oct and Chek's HLC course in November!
